Bush
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004100
A local name for a dense, advection fog that forms on the northern coast of Peru. This fog develops when warm, moist air from the equatorial Pacific moves over the cold, northward-flowing Peru Current, also known as the Humboldt Current. The cooling of the air mass to its dew point results in the formation of a low-lying stratus cloud deck that moves inland.
