Cascade
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004186
A series of sequential processes or events where the output of one stage becomes the input for the next, often leading to a cumulative effect. In atmospheric science, this can refer to energy transfer from large to small scales in turbulence, or a chain reaction of chemical processes. A common example is the energy cascade in atmospheric eddies.
