Climatic element

Any one of the atmospheric properties or phenomena that, when considered together, characterize the weather and climate of a specific location or region. These elements are the quantities that are regularly observed and recorded, including temperature, precipitation, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, and sunshine duration. Climate is defined by the statistical summary of these elements over a long period, typically 30 years.
