Climatic factor

A large-scale, relatively stable geographical or astronomical condition that influences the climate of a region or the entire Earth. These factors include latitude, altitude, proximity to large bodies of water, ocean currents, prevailing winds, and topography. They determine the general characteristics of a climate zone.
