Co-latitude

The angular distance of a point on a sphere from the North Pole, measured along a meridian. It is the complement of latitude, meaning it is 90 degrees minus the latitude. Co-latitude is often used in spherical trigonometry and celestial mechanics, particularly when dealing with polar coordinates.
