Composite water sample

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004558

A single water sample formed by combining multiple individual water samples collected at different times or locations. This technique is used to obtain an average representation of water quality over a period or across a spatial area, reducing the variability associated with single grab samples. It is commonly employed in environmental monitoring of precipitation, surface water, or groundwater.
