Grab sampling

A method of collecting a single, discrete sample of air or water at a specific time and location, intended to represent the conditions at that moment. This technique is used to measure concentrations of pollutants or atmospheric constituents for immediate analysis. Grab samples provide a snapshot rather than a continuous record of environmental conditions.
