Concentration variance

A statistical measure that quantifies the spatial or temporal fluctuations in the concentration of a substance within the atmosphere. It indicates the degree of inhomogeneity or patchiness in the distribution of a tracer or pollutant. High concentration variance suggests strong turbulent mixing or localized sources.
