Analysis of variance

A statistical method used to partition the observed variance in a particular variable into components attributable to different sources of variation. It assesses whether the means of two or more groups are statistically different from each other. In atmospheric science, ANOVA can compare atmospheric parameters across different regions or experimental conditions.
