F-ratio
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005748
A statistical test statistic used in analysis of variance (ANOVA) to compare the variances of two or more groups. In atmospheric science, it can be applied to assess whether differences in meteorological variables between different experimental conditions or models are statistically significant. A higher F-ratio suggests greater differences between group means relative to the variability within groups.
