Dimensionless group
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005019
A product or ratio of physical quantities that results in a unitless number. These groups are formed by combining variables in a way that their dimensions cancel out, making them independent of the chosen system of units. Examples in meteorology include the Reynolds number and the Froude number.
