Cooling temperature
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004692
The rate at which a substance or environment loses heat and its temperature decreases. In meteorology, this can refer to the cooling of air parcels as they rise and expand, or the radiative cooling of the Earth's surface and atmosphere overnight. Factors such as humidity, cloud cover, and wind speed influence the rate of cooling.
