Katathermometer

A specialized thermometer used to measure the cooling power of the atmosphere, which combines the effects of air temperature, humidity, and wind speed on a heated surface. It consists of an alcohol thermometer with a large bulb, designed to cool from a specific upper temperature to a lower one. The time taken for this cooling provides an index of the environment's cooling effect.
