Dewbow
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004964
A phenomenon similar to a rainbow, but formed by the refraction and reflection of sunlight through dew droplets on a surface, such as grass, rather than raindrops in the air. It appears as a circular arc of colors, often visible when the sun is low in the sky and the observer is looking away from the sun. The size and intensity of a dewbow depend on the size and density of the dew droplets.
