Earth structure
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005227
The concentric layering of the planet Earth, consisting of an inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust. These layers are defined by their chemical composition and physical properties, such as density and temperature. Atmospheric science is primarily concerned with the interactions between the outermost layer, the crust, and the atmosphere, including heat and moisture exchange.
