Geosphere
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005934
The solid part of the Earth, including the crust, mantle, and core. It encompasses all the rocks, minerals, and landforms that constitute the planet's structure. In the context of atmospheric science, interactions between the geosphere and the atmosphere, such as volcanic eruptions releasing gases or land surface changes affecting albedo, influence atmospheric composition and climate.
