Flow line

A line drawn on a map or diagram that indicates the direction of fluid movement, such as air or water, within a specific system. These lines are perpendicular to isobars in atmospheric flow or equipotential lines in groundwater flow. They illustrate the path a parcel of fluid would follow under the prevailing forces.
