Equipotential line
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005448
A line connecting points in a scalar field where the potential energy is constant. In meteorology, this concept applies to fields such as geopotential height, where an equipotential line represents a contour of constant geopotential. Air parcels moving along such a line experience no change in potential energy due to gravity.
