Flow net

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005645

A graphical representation consisting of intersecting flow lines and equipotential lines, used to visualize and analyze two-dimensional fluid flow through a porous medium or an open channel. The grid formed by these lines allows for the estimation of flow rates and pressure distributions. It is constructed such that flow lines and equipotential lines intersect at right angles.
