Flow law
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005643
A constitutive equation that describes the relationship between stress and strain rate in a deforming material, particularly relevant for ice and other viscous substances in glaciology. It quantifies how a material responds to applied forces over time. Glen's Flow Law is a common example used for ice sheets and glaciers.
