Folding frequency
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005695
The maximum frequency that can be unambiguously represented in a discrete time series or spatial data set, also known as the Nyquist frequency. Any signal components with frequencies higher than the folding frequency will be aliased, appearing as lower frequencies in the sampled data.
