Greenhouse gas stabilization

The process of achieving and maintaining a specific concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere to prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system. This involves reducing emissions to a level where the atmospheric concentration no longer increases. International agreements, such as the Paris Agreement, aim for such stabilization targets.
