Gas transfer

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005877

The movement of gases between different environmental compartments, such as from the atmosphere to the ocean or from soil to the atmosphere. This process occurs through diffusion, advection, and turbulent mixing, driven by concentration gradients. The rate of gas transfer is influenced by factors like wind speed, temperature, and the solubility of the gas.
