Transfer

The movement of energy, mass, or momentum from one location or medium to another within the atmosphere or between the atmosphere and other Earth systems. This process can occur through conduction, convection, radiation, or advection. Examples include the transfer of heat from the sun to the Earth's surface or the transfer of water vapor from the ocean to the atmosphere.
