Energy transfer

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005377

The movement of energy from one location or form to another within the atmosphere or Earth system. This occurs through processes such as radiation, conduction, convection, and latent heat exchange. For instance, solar radiation is absorbed by the Earth's surface and then transferred to the atmosphere through sensible and latent heat fluxes.
