Heat transfer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006200
The movement of thermal energy from one region to another due to a temperature difference. In the atmosphere, this occurs through conduction, convection, and radiation, playing a fundamental role in global weather patterns and climate. The rate of heat transfer depends on the temperature gradient and the thermal properties of the medium.
