Groundwater depletion curve
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006106
A graphical representation showing the rate at which groundwater levels decline over time in an aquifer or well. This curve is derived from continuous measurements of water table elevation, often in response to pumping or drought conditions. Analyzing these curves provides insight into aquifer characteristics and sustainable yield, with steeper slopes indicating faster depletion.
