Hurricane band

A spiral-shaped band of thunderstorms and rain that rotates around the center of a tropical cyclone. These bands, also known as rainbands, are a prominent feature of hurricanes and can extend hundreds of miles from the eye. The intensity of precipitation and wind within these bands can vary significantly, with some containing embedded tornadoes.
