IFR weather

Meteorological conditions characterized by low ceilings, reduced visibility, or both, that necessitate flight operations under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). These conditions typically include widespread fog, heavy precipitation, or low clouds that obscure visual references. When visibility is less than 3 statute miles and the ceiling is below 1,000 feet, IFR weather prevails.
