Interpulse period
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006618
The time interval between the transmission of consecutive pulses from a radar system, also known as the pulse repetition time. This period directly determines the maximum unambiguous range of the radar, as the system must wait for an echo to return before sending the next pulse to avoid range ambiguity. The reciprocal of the interpulse period gives the pulse repetition frequency (PRF).
