Invasion of air
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006628
The advection of an air mass with distinct thermal and moisture properties into a region previously occupied by a different air mass. This process leads to changes in local weather conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and stability. For example, a cold air invasion brings colder, drier air, often resulting in a drop in temperature and clear skies.
