Isotropic radiator
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010575
A hypothetical point source that radiates energy uniformly in all directions. While not physically realizable, it serves as a theoretical reference for antenna gain and radiation patterns in radar meteorology. The concept is used to define the gain of actual antennas relative to this ideal source.
