Radiator
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008314
A body or surface that emits electromagnetic radiation, particularly in the infrared range, as a consequence of its temperature. In meteorology, the Earth's surface and atmospheric gases act as radiators, releasing thermal energy back into space. The Stefan-Boltzmann law describes the total power radiated per unit surface area of a black body.
