Directivity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005044
A measure of an antenna's ability to concentrate radiated power in a particular direction compared to an isotropic radiator. In radar meteorology, high directivity is desirable for accurately pinpointing the location of precipitation and minimizing interference from other directions. It is typically expressed as a dimensionless ratio or in decibels (dBi).
