Low Frequency, referring to electromagnetic radiation with frequencies ranging from 30 to 300 kilohertz (kHz). In meteorology, this band is used for certain radio navigation systems and can be affected by atmospheric conditions. LF radio waves are capable of traveling long distances by ground wave propagation.
