Local inflow

The movement of air into a specific atmospheric region or system, often associated with convective storms or localized circulations. This influx of air provides the necessary mass and moisture to sustain the meteorological phenomenon. In severe thunderstorms, strong local inflow can indicate a strengthening updraft.
