Mean low water springs

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007162

The average height of the low waters that occur at the time of spring tides. Spring tides happen when the sun and moon are aligned, resulting in the largest tidal range. This measurement is a tidal datum used for navigation and coastal engineering, representing a lower boundary for water depth.
