Medicane

A Mediterranean tropical-like cyclone, characterized by a warm core and often exhibiting features similar to tropical cyclones, such as a central eye and spiral rainbands. These systems form over the Mediterranean Sea, drawing energy from warm sea surface temperatures and latent heat release. They can produce strong winds and heavy rainfall, leading to coastal flooding.
