Micrometer

A unit of length in the metric system, equal to one millionth of a meter (10^-6 meters). It is frequently used in meteorology to express the size of atmospheric particles such as aerosols, cloud droplets, and ice crystals. A typical cloud droplet has a diameter of about 10 to 20 micrometers.
