Microseism

A faint, continuous tremor of the ground caused by natural phenomena, primarily ocean waves. These seismic waves are generated by the interaction of ocean waves with the seafloor or by the interference of opposing wave trains. Microseisms are recorded globally by seismographs and can provide information about ocean wave conditions.
