Airglow

Faint, diffuse emission of light from a planetary atmosphere, distinct from aurora, caused by chemical reactions and energy transitions of atoms and molecules. It occurs continuously day and night, primarily in the upper atmosphere, as a result of solar radiation and cosmic rays. Airglow is a natural phenomenon that provides insights into atmospheric composition and dynamics.
