Narbonnais

A strong, cold, and dry northwesterly wind that blows through the Aude valley in the Languedoc region of southern France, affecting the area around Narbonne. It is a regional wind, channeled by local topography, and shares characteristics with the more famous Mistral wind that blows through the Rhône valley. The narbonnais is most prevalent in winter and spring, often bringing clear skies but cold temperatures to the coastal plain.
