Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007568
A graphical calculating device that allows for the approximate computation of a function by reading values from scales. In meteorology, nomograms are used to solve equations or determine relationships between atmospheric variables without complex calculations. An example is a thermodynamic diagram used to plot atmospheric soundings.
