Ocean Topography Experiment

A joint U.S.-French satellite mission, TOPEX/Poseidon, launched in 1992, designed to measure global sea surface height with high precision. This experiment provided unprecedented data on ocean circulation, tides, and sea level change, significantly advancing our understanding of ocean dynamics. Its successor missions include Jason-1, Jason-2, and Jason-3.
