Particulate loading

The total mass of solid or liquid particles suspended in a given volume of air or emitted into the atmosphere over a specific time period. This measure quantifies the concentration of aerosols and other airborne matter. It is often expressed in units of micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³) or tons per year.
