Particle velocity

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007813

The instantaneous velocity of an individual fluid parcel or suspended particle within a moving air mass. This differs from the bulk flow velocity, as particles can have their own trajectories influenced by gravity, drag, and turbulence. It is a key parameter in studying pollutant dispersion and cloud droplet dynamics.
