Pea-soup fog

A dense, often yellowish or greenish fog, characterized by extremely low visibility and a thick, opaque appearance. This type of fog frequently results from a combination of high humidity and atmospheric pollution, where particulate matter acts as condensation nuclei. Historically, it was common in industrial cities due to coal smoke emissions.
