Principal point
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008153
The geometric center of a photograph or image, specifically the point where the perpendicular from the camera lens intersects the image plane. In photogrammetry and remote sensing, this point is a fundamental reference for geometric corrections and spatial referencing of aerial or satellite imagery.
