Pulsed radar
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008209
A type of radar system that transmits short bursts of electromagnetic energy and then listens for the echoes reflected from targets. By measuring the time delay between transmission and reception, the range to the target can be determined. This system is widely used in meteorology for detecting precipitation, measuring wind velocities, and observing atmospheric phenomena.
