Pumping test
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008213
A controlled field experiment conducted to determine the hydraulic properties of an aquifer, such as transmissivity and storativity. It involves pumping water from a well at a constant rate and observing the resulting drawdown in water levels in the pumped well and nearby observation wells. The data collected are used to assess groundwater availability and flow characteristics.
